The Book Thief, Markus Zusak. Go get it . NOW. I'm tellin' y'all, this is one not to miss.

The Tale of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, Susanna Clark. Odd - I enjoyed this as an audio book, but I think I would never have finished it as a novel
