Let it snow!
Now, back to knitting, and what a great day for it. I decided to deviate slightly from Project Spectrum to knit a Mother's day present for, well, my mother, clearly. Now, I did pay attention to the fact that the Wool Cotton was 17m shorter than the Cashsoft, but I'd had wheens left over from Odessa Number 1, so I was sure I could just make it with one. Well, here's the evidence for all to see: And I was so determined not to buy any more yarn...I'll check the stash, but I'm not hopeful. And I was going to be a bit of a smart **** and put up the finished WIP as a pic in the sidebar. Pride cometh.... As per, this pic is not representative of the colour at all. Seems to me that the camera has real problems with the blue end of the spectrum. When I need a bit of time off from the pink knitting, I'm going to be doing a pale green Mountain Stream , inspired by a number of blogs I've seen it on of late.
On the health front -still very up and down. I'm trying to keep it all in perspective, but have been feeling a bit down about it lately, specially as things took a bit of a nosedive on Thursday. Still, things have improved a bit, hence the spot of knitting, but my balance is still causing me problems - it's really strange falling over when you know that you've had no intoxicants , the earth has not moved (!) and I know where my feet should be in relation to the ground and the rest of me...
And, finally, here's a pic of what cats do best on a snowy day

It looks lovely from the inside. We've had some snow here in Runcorn but nothing like what you've had! What a perfect excuse to stay in and knit. Keep warm!
Love the one of the picnic table! Deep and crisp and even, eh?
Bah, I left Rochdale on Saturday to a slight flurry of snowflakes and discovered that the place was covered on Sunday. I want snow!
