Elaine - you were right.
It's getting very embarassing - I have lost mastery over technology. I couldn't work out the self-service tills in a supermarket the other day. And it was only after a conversation with Elaine yesterday PLUS the arrival of my new iPod Shuffle, that I realised that the Shuffle indeed has a fast forward mechanism.
I', SO embarrassed.....

I too will be joining the old fogies at the library to learn "computing and technology " skills - dammit the new camera is still on auto (or was that demo?)
ahh, but a Shuffle only has a 'slow fast forward', not a 'scan' - which is annoying if you're 6.5 hours though a 7 hour audio book and it loses its place on you... Still love it, though.
Don't, I have just worked out how to copy with our new printer and I still have to fight with the video to record anything!
